<title><![CDATA[Appeal after serious road traffic collision, Doublebois]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<div><div>Serious road traffic collision, Doublebois</div>
<div>Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the A38 at Doublebois.</div>
<div>The collision took place at around 1720 hours on Tuesday, 15 May 2012 at Doublebois Cross.</div>
<div>The incident involved a white Ford Transit van and a green Daewoo.</div>
<div>The 22-year-old male driver of the Daewoo sustained serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.</div>
<div>The casualty is from out of the Force area.</div>
<div>Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to contact the Police on 101, quoting log 515 of 150512.</div>

<title><![CDATA[Appeal after road traffic collision near Modbury]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<div><div>Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Ivybridge on Friday 11 May 2012.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The incident occurred at around 11.15pm on the road between Fowlescombe Gate and Marridge Cross in the California Cross area of Modbury. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The head-on collision involved a Ford Focus marked police car, which was on patrol and not responding to an incident, and a blue Ford Ka. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Both drivers were cut from the damaged vehicles and taken to Derriford Hospital. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The driver of the Ford Ka sustained serious a leg injury and the driver of the police car sustained minor injuries to the head and body.&nbsp; </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Sergeant Jane Corkhill, from the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to this collision or anyone who saw either vehicle in the area prior to the incident to ring 101 quoting reference 908 of 11 May 2012.”</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The incident was initially referred to the IPCC, as is normal when there has been an incident involving a police vehicle.&nbsp; The IPCC have now passed this back to Devon and Cornwall Police for local investigation.</div></div>

<title><![CDATA[Police appeal for information on wanted suspect]]></title>

<div>Devon and Cornwall Police are proactively following a number of lines of enquiry to ascertain his current location. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Police intend to arrest the man and send him back to prison until the end of his licence which is end of June 2012.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>James Chamberlain has been out of prison since the 28 February 2012 on licence with probation.&nbsp; He has not complied with the conditions of this licence and is now being recalled.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>He has links to Devonport, and city centre areas of Plymouth.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>

<title><![CDATA[Appeal after collision, Plymouth ]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<div><div>Police in Plymouth are investigating a collision which took place in the city yesterday evening.</div>
<div>At around 4pm on Wednesday 9th May blue Citroen Saxo was involved in a collision on the Camels Head slip road towards Marsh Mills roundabout.</div>
<div>Officers are investigating if the Saxo was in collision with another vehicle, a black unidentified car, which did not stop at the scene.</div>
<div>The female Saxo driver was taken to Derriford Hospital as a precaution.</div>
<div>If you saw the collision or have any information please call police on 101 quoting reference 497 of 9th May. Officers are also keen to speak to any garages who may have been approached by a customer with a black car which may have had blue paint transference.</div>

<title><![CDATA[Police appeal following burglary - Topsham]]></title>

<div>Police in Exeter are appealing for information following a burglary in Topsham.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The burglary occurred at The Quay Centre, located on&nbsp;&nbsp;the Quay in Topsham sometime between 2.30am and 3.10am on Tuesday 1st May. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Entry to the premises was gained by forcing a door, and once inside three glass cabinets were forced open and items valued at thousands of pounds were stolen.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Included amongst the stolen items were a number of coins including&nbsp; expensive sovereigns, crowns, half crowns and shillings of various years and values.</div>
<div>In addition lots of items of jewellery were taken including a distinctive gold, onyx pearl and diamond mourning brooch, and a 18ct white gold diamond and emerald bracelet.</div>

<title><![CDATA[CCTV images, Dartmouth]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<div><img src='http://media.devon-cornwall.police.uk/Lists/Press Releases/attachments/13290/0334.12 A.JPG' alt='Attached image' /></div><div><div>Police have issued images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with two burglaries in Dartmouth.</div>
<div>Between Monday 23 April 2012 and Tuesday 24th April 2012 two burglaries took place at Start Bay Park, Strete near Dartmouth. A glass pane was smashed to gain entry to one of the premises and an untidy search was made but nothing was stolen. <br>In the second break-in entry was gained through a window and a search of the premises made and documentation was stolen.</div>
<div>Police are looking to identify and speak with the man in the pictures provided. This man may have been driving a new style blue van type vehicle.</div>
<div>If anyone can identify this man please contact police on 101 quoting crime reference JH/12/128 or alternatively call crime stoppers on 0800 555 111.</div>

<title><![CDATA[Police appeal folloiwng street robbery - Newton Abbot]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<div><div><br>Police in Newton Abbot are appealing for information following a street robbery in the Town.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The incident occurred at around 1.15am on Monday 7th May.</div>
<div>The 23 year old female victim was walking on her own after a night out. </div>
<div><br>She walked from St Paul’s Road into Devon Square.<br>&nbsp;She was headed towards the A381 Torquay Rd. and had just passed the Hazelwood Guest House when she was violently pushed from behind, causing her to fall to the ground.<br>&nbsp;Whilst on the ground, she had her dark cream/beige shiny clutch handbag pulled from her grasp. The offender then ran off (direction not seen).</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The victim was not seriously injured but obviously shaken as a result of the incident.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The offender is described as being around 5’08”in height, skinny-slim build and wearing dark clothing and a dark hoodie with a printed logo on the front. </div>

<title><![CDATA[Police appeal to trace a wanted man in East Devon]]></title>

<div>Maxwell Wilson was convicted at Exeter Crown Court on Thursday the 26th April He was given a sentence of 14 years for aggravated burglary in which an elderly couple were attacked in their home in Honiton.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>He had however escaped lawful custody from Taunton Police Station in February 2012, despite being restrained with rigid cuffs and was therefore convicted and sentenced in his absence.</div>
<div><br>He has married into a traveller family and his last known address is a caravan on Chubbards Cross, Ilton in Somerset. Avon and Somerset are actively searching for him but he may also have links in East Devon and travels extensively throughout Devon and Cornwall.<br>&nbsp;<br>Devon and Cornwall police are proactively following a number of lines of enquiry to ascertain his current location. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Police intend to arrest him&nbsp;once he has been located. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>He is described as being&nbsp; a white man, 5’ 11” in height&nbsp; slim muscular build with short dark brown hair, and blue eyes, </div>
<div>He is considered to be dangerous and police advise the public not to approach him but to call 999 if they see him.</div>

<title><![CDATA[Appeal following burglary, Kingsbridge]]></title>

<div>The incident occurred sometime overnight between Tuesday 1st May and Wednesday 2nd May at Tri Ocean Ltd, located on the South Hams Business Park, Churchstow, Kingsbridge.</div>
<div><br>Entry to the premises was caused by forcing a rear door and following an untidy 200 Xcel wetsuits of all models and sizes, (valued between £100-£300 each) were stolen.<br>&nbsp;<br>A vehicle would have been required to take the stolen property away.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&nbsp;Police are interested in speaking with anyone witnessed any suspicious vehicles in the area or anyone who is offered new Xcel wetsuits for sale.</div>

<title><![CDATA[Trace next of kin - Major John William Long, Hessle, East Yorkshire]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<div><div>Assistance is required from the public to locate the next of kin of a man who sadly died in East Yorkshire.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Major John William LONG, born on 07 August 1931, was found dead at this home in Fletcher Close, Hessle in East Yorkshire on Sunday 22 April after police attended following a call from a concerned neighbour.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Following inquiries by Humberside Police it has been established that Mr Long had a son and a daughter, whose names are not known, however he also was once married to Victoria Margaret Long, from whom he divorced in 1972. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>There are understood to be links to the Exeter area of Devon and it is known that the pair married at Sourton, Devon in 1953.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Mr Long's birth certificate also states he was born in Newcastle upon Tyne.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Anyone with information about his next of kin is asked to contact the Coroner's Office for Hull and East Yorkshire on (01482) 613009 or Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 referring to log 504 of 22 April 2012.</div></div>
